Cross stitch, hand knitting, machine knitting, crochet, weaving, spinning... We'll see which hobby I pick up next. She/her.
I've been working my way through "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die." Today's album was John Prine, a country record from 1971.

My favorite song was "Your Flag Decal Won’t Get You Into Heaven Anymore." Still relevant, 55 years later.

I'm going to visit my stitching bestie tomorrow, so I had to finally iron and frame this hungry little ghost I made for her (free pattern from @lolacrow.bsky.social ).

Moving the q-snap on my bear.

I'm thinking I might try Royal rows for my next pass 🤔

One of the fun things about cross stitch is that I'll be working away, focused on the stitches I'm currently working on, when suddenly I step back and realize, "oh! That weird little ovary shape I just did is a sheep's head!"

In today's episode of "I'm flight af so I can't concentrate on one project for now than 5 seconds at a time":

I walked past my spinning wheel and said (John Mulaney voice) "Okay!"

Fiber is from Knit Picks, the wheel is a Majacraft Suzie Pro.

This morning's project was making this jelly roll race quilt. It was a small roll (only 20 strips) so now it's off to my mom (and her fabric stash) for enbiggening and then quilting.

I have reached the bottom of the pattern. Now all I need to stitch is the rest of the column and everything to the right of it. Easy peasy.

I've been using iHerb for years to get my (non-autism curing 🙄) supplements. I just cancelled my subscription.

Once again: this is why we can't have nice things.
Dr. Oz is a large investor in and global advisor for iHerb, a company that sells supplements for folinic acid, which is the the non-prescription version of leucovorin, the medication which is being recommended for the treatment of autism by Dr. Oz.

I had a craving to hand knit something, so I've been working on this baby sweater. Unfortunately, the yarn is driving me crazy because it keeps breaking.

I'm persevering, but it's dangerously close to going into a timeout.

I'm just over 50% on this cross stitch piece, I should be ready to move the q-snap in the next day or two. I'm excited, because the bottom portion has sheep!

The thing about being an artist is that sometimes you’ll have a really silly/cursed image enter your head and spend hours of your life drawing it. Hours you’ll never get back.

The world continues to be terrible, but I made some flannel baby pants for donation, and they make me smile.

Husband: So what are you working on now?
Me: I'm knitting an emotional support chicken.
Husband: I don't know why I even ask anymore.

My deaf dog doesn't hear the doorbell anymore, so I will wake her up to answer the door with me. Sales people are less pushy when my 40lb dog is barking at them.
The solar panel door to door salespeople have gotten so aggressive and so obnoxious (lying that they work for the power company, refusing to leave the porch, etc) that V has declared war on them and ordered a very colorful super soaker for the next one who doesn't understand "no thanks"

The Very Cross Stitchers. Our symbol would be a skull and crossbones, where the eyes are X's that are clearly cross stitches, and the crossbones would be two threaded needles.

Or maybe one needle is unthreaded, and that's why we're cross? 🤔

One of my current projects is this paint by number from Schipper. My painting technique is fairly terrible (wavy edges, willy-nilly brush strokes) but I'm enjoying the process.

I think the secret to making bread in a bread machine is to make sure to put the freaking paddle in the pan. But that's just been my experience, ymmv.
