Yes I AM writing. No you cannot see it yet. It's not done cooking.

Collector of many things. If its neat, it comes home with me.
Well first it was the REDACTED, and then the frame job....and subsequent imprisonment and upcoming trial
And the cascading effects of that.
Why is the antagonist of your MC their antagonist? What caused the friction? #WritingPrompt

hey w how trad pub is likely going to be pulling back on books by marginalized authors, now more than ever, please get over whatever roadblock exists in your mind that keeps you from branching out to indie books. if the trad space starts to look dire soon (and it will), this is gonna be the solution

A recent Time magazine article used a quote from Canadian satire site, the Beaverton, as a fact in reference to U.S. relationships with other countries.

As an unfortunate victim of the moment of shock that led me to vote Liberal, which I've deeply regretted ever since, Carney fucking sucks.

I didn't want any of this.

Hey so, the whole of this is deeply fucked up, actually
Oil and gas companies collectively owe hundreds of millions to Alberta citizens, municipalities and the provincial government, and making these companies pay up isn't easy. Why do they owe so much? @drewanderson.bsky.social breaks it down: thenarwhal.ca/alberta-surf...
The unpaid bills of Alberta oil and gas companies, explained | The Narwhal
We break down the ways some Alberta oil and gas companies are shirking their bills, and what that means for Alberta municipalities and landowners

They're pretty cool, focusing on the climate and the environment when I feel that keeps getting glossed over too much by a lot of places.

Also why wouldn't you want news written by narwhals?

As posted in a few servers and was alerted to this picture earlier today: What they said. DO NOT FILL IT OUT, it is there to fuck with your artist peers and yourself, they (paypal) can and will abuse this and steal your money by banning your account

Given that’s there’s a non-zero chance the pipeline never happens but Carney gets blamed for supporting it and failing to get it done, I’m going to call this one a questionable move!

Its gonna take dying for Sylpha to give up her current goal.

Also death for Aldon. Or the threat of Sylpha dying....which I guess counts as death.
What would it take for your MC to give up their goals entirely? #WritingPrompt

"Fat people are driven to excess" and they mean food when really my problem is actually the excess of black bile.

Can one man count as a whole event? If so, its Koric for both Aldon and Sylpha

If not, it would be when she got arrested for Sylpha, and agreeing to be Korics student instead of being hanged for piracy.

Ironically enough, it was meeting Sylpha that counts as the event for Aldon.
What’s the biggest event from your MC’s past that informs who they are now? #WritingPrompt

Aldon will always have a sunflower detail on the collar of his clothing.

Its his mothers favourite that he shared a love for and she died when he was 14. Its his way of keeping her memory close.

The same goes for incorporating braided horsehair into his appearance in some way
What's a seemingly inconsequential detail about your MC that actually informs a lot about their character? #WritingPrompt

Man, the antisemitism just really loves social media comment sections, doesn't it.

I know its not new to mention that, but its how explicitly unsubtle it is recently that seems to be 2016 levels again.
Worse, actually.

Hug your nearest Jewish neighbour and offer them support.

Everyone else is actually just her friends.
Broader population calls her the demon of Falia. Or something like it. Depends on the region/person and what they know about her.
Sylpha will say its her nose or her hair.
Everyone else will say its her love and care for the "little people"

Aldons is how match he wants to understand other people so that he can better talk with them and work things out.
What's your main character's greatest virtue? #WritingPrompt

So if its raining here at essentially a midpoint in November, does that mean I should anticipate a third year in a row of sweeping snowmelt off an icy path from the house to the barn?

Because we should have at least a foot of snow on the ground right now, and more coming in the forecast.
