yall i just now realized that the reason bob ross always painted his biggest tree first (this is speculation ofc, i dont know if he was doing it on purpose) because all the other trees have to be positioned relative to it. because it grew first, so the other trees literally grew up around it.

All the encouragement, negotiating, bullying, or nagging int he world (internal or external) will not flip the switch in my brain to "action". I'm not lazy. I'm not dirty. I'm chronically ill.

at >11AM EST< im having a #donothon livestream to celebrate my #birthday and fundraise for a new drawing tablet!
ive been using the same inexpensive huion for the full five years ive been a livestreamer, and the poor guy needs replaced
an informational graphic discussing a birthday donothon livestream. the background is a digital painting of abstract foliage, in a gradient of warm reds and oranges on the left, fading into tones of cyan and light greens on the right. it is designed to emulate the marketing materials of the game silent hill f. the text of the graphic reads as follows: ripperoni in pepperoni my drawing tablet has officially broken beyond the point of ignoring it half of the programmable buttons no longer function and the drawing area is covered in scratches, including a deep divot right in the center. i have big plans for the coming year (including redesigning nearly all of my stream assets oop) and my fairly inexpensive four year old tablet just cant make it through that kind of workload. thats why hes going into retirement, and im fundraising for a new one! also its my birthday! thats actually kind of a coincidence XD but it means we can celebrate a whole bunch of new beginnings and goals all at once together... ...by playing a fluffed up horror game until the time runs out

It's titled "Melt the ICE Hat" and it's by YarnCultMN n the 1940’s, Norwegians made and wore red pointed hats with a tassel as a form of visual protest against Nazi occupation of their country. Within two years, the Nazis made these protest hats illegal and punishable by law to wear, make, or distribute. As purveyors of traditional craft, we felt it appropriate to revisit this design. The sample shown was knit in Blue Sky Fibers Skyland for the DK version. All proceeds from the sale of this pattern go to the LynLake community of businesses who will distribute the funds to those impacted by the actions of ICE.

Learning the difference between being a little uncomfortable and being in actual danger is something you HAVE to learn. Possibly have to start speed running it now if you’re planning on surviving the long term.

Important shit that I’m still trying to learn.
I am begging you. Please learn about stress/discomfort tolerance. Practice raising it. You need this to survive. If someone online can ruin your day with a throwaway comment, you desperately need to understand discomfort tolerance and consciously, systematically build that shit. Also! Stress tolerance is such an important skill that having a learning disability in that area is a major symptom of a whole lot of other disabilities/mental illnesses! Struggling with it is a huge part of life! It sucks! Am I saying everyone with misophonia needs to listen to chewing noises all day? No. But you need to find ways to tolerate it enough that you don't treat others like shit if they make a mouth noise near you. No, you don't have to read the fic with your trigger tags. But you do need to be able to handle scrolling past the tags without being upset. It is hard! But not having it also makes you so so so easy to manipulate. That grandma is racist AF because her mom raised her to be uncomfortable around black people and she never fought that discomfort. Trans people make so many cis people uncomfortable and that discomfort turns into bigotry real fast. Letting your discomfort dictate your actions and beliefs about things is a great way to become a terrible person. Learn. Discomfort. Tolerance.
