Today the students of my uni hold a farewell party to a study program that has been cut. Several profs that are affected have been invited too.
I for one am looking forward to the chaos that will ensue tonight lol. Don't think the new management is prepared for how bad this will look for them 🤣

Just held a block course and have to hold three more 6h sessions next week. Then travel to Berlin for a presentation. Then travel to Brussels for another presentation. Then prep my PhD defense on December 15th. I'm back to working 12-16h days.

I really hope I won't need to actually use linkedin in the future for work or something. I just went there to check someone's profile and saw a few posts that were doing the rounds and it was physically revolting to read.

I was hanging out in Shattrath and Dalaran so much as a teen that I realized these MMOs and Virtual Worlds became genuine social sites, no longer games to me.

Found a Nick Yee quote from his 2014 book "The Proteus Paradox" that resonates with me. I think of this a lot when I read papers and posts on how the Metaverse will revolutionize remote work and meetings 😅
