Fecking angry about Brexit, pro-EU activist, Anti-Monarchy, Vegan, non-practising Solicitor, Bipolar, Irish. I live with my wife Janet in Newcastle upon Tyne.
It was great to bump into the European Movement team outside Downing Street, just after they had delivered the European Human Rights petition to Keir Starmer.
Over 55,000 people have called on the government to keep Britain in the European Convention on Human Rights, standing against a reckless push to repeat the mistakes of Brexit. Today their names were handed in, a reminder that this country still believes in cooperation, justice and the rule of law.

Brexit has cost UK business £37bn a year, and the Government are finally speaking out on what we’ve known all along; Brexit was a mistake.

Tonight I was suspended from all
North East for Europe activity by its self-appointed committee. I had complained about the bullying behaviour of two committee members. Instead of investigating the complaint I am the one punished.

We *must* protect the right to protest. Especially outside Parliament. Steve Bray is being targeted for his rejoin EU activism and is facing court action.
Good luck to him!

Through The Fields, is a mixed fermentation beer, aged in one of our oak foudres then rested on fresh, local elderberries.
On Friday 28th March we are releasing this beer in a limited number of 20l kegs, across the UK. Pouring in truly fabulous pubs and bars the remainder will be in 750ml bottles.

The Israeli government is urging its citizens to buy Israeli grown food to help the war effort. It has helpfully published information instructing Israelis how to identify and buy Israeli produce. It’s also helpful, of course, to anyone who wants to avoid it.

Isn’t it touching that Trump and Netanyahu are so concerned to look after the best interests of the Palestinians living amongst the rubble of Gaza?

Greeting Lisa Nandy, Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport yesterday. She came to Gateshead to launch to announce the government’s plans for revitalising arts in the north east. Like us, many of the delegates told her that Brexit was the biggest problem.

Starmer is still seeking to do what the Tories did on Brexit, and failing. Rayner is supporting him, just like she supported Corbyn's anti-EU position. The truth is, Labour is a pro-EU party with a pro-Brexit leadership that refuses to read the room. Expect more of this gaslighting as they fail.
Angela Rayner's words are welcome, but note:

'The PM is yet to commit to a full-scale realignment with the trading bloc, and for now, he’s choosing to pursue ‘individual agreements’ with EU nations'.
Brexit 'delivered the opposite of what it promised', Angela Rayner admits
That might just be the sound of the penny dropping for the Labour government, after Angela Rayner took a swipe at Brexit.
