I'ma quoting the wiki on this one as it's what sold me: Gotham Noir is an Elseworlds story that reimagines Batman in a film noir setting. The story takes place in Gotham City in the year 1949, and is told through the character of James Gordon, written non-traditionally as a hard-boiled alcoholic private detective. They are caught up in a massive conspiracy involving the corrupt Mayor's office and connections to Gotham Organized Crime when a beautiful young woman turns up dead and Gordon is framed for her murder.

Cover for Steel Annual #1 from 1994. It shows the hero Steel in a lot more gold than his usual grey, treated more like plate armour he's wearing than a suit which makes sense for the time period. The only grey areas are the leg above the knee, elbow to shoulder and his sides up to the rib cage. He's wearing a red cape and has a pennant tabard in red partially obscured by a belt made of a series of chains. He still has his usual hammer held aloft in one hand and a bunch of bags/ammo (?) wrapped around the other arm. There appears to be a fight going on in the background between American soldiers and given the storyline, those fighting against slavery. John Henry Irons is a slave on Bedford Forrest's Plantation in Virginia who becomes friends with the slave owner's white son, someone who will teach him to read and write. Once that kid "inherits" the slaves however he turns even more abusive than his father ever was leading to his victims banding together to fight for their freedom. Just happens to have a superhero in the limelight, that's all. A review I saw complained everything was too depressing and I'm sorry what do you expect, white slave owners to be coddled?? Smash their skulls in my guy.

The paw dips and from the ankle share the same grey and there are splotches of markings on the left then a big chunk on the fluffy but bunny shaped tail. They are on their hind paws batting at the dragonfly whale. On the right is a much more slender build cat who has more of a firey dark brown tufts to the ears, a sweep of hair covering one eye contrasting the fluffed puff that Bunny has and spiked cheek fluff to the same rounded. They have a dot of dark brown for the eyebrow and pink eyes with a brown pupil which matches the inside of the mouth and a tripe heart by the eye. In this case it's a larger one with two small either side. They have light brown on the chest and below the knee/elbow. Their tail is long and fluffy ending with the dark brown running down the edges is probably the best description. They have only one paw in the air. The dragonfly whale is vibing above them in a blue and green palette. They have a whale shaped blue head that goes into a green dragonfly shaped thorax that rounds straight into the tail instead of being two separate segments. They have flygon like domes over the eyes, horizontal lined throat and short spines running down the spine. They have green stripes coming from the eyes then have a dark green band behind the head and down the body. Like all dragonflies they have four wings. Flippers should be here and are not because in the mad dash of Art Fight it was forgotten. Lets pretend they are just folded out of sight. The background is grey with slightly darker grey circles under the cats. Digital artwork. It shows Resident Evil 8's Lady Dimitrescu in muffin form. Digital artwork in an Animal Crossing style. It shows Dreamer Locke, a Preacri Religan with his head facing the right and the rest of him forward. He has triangular ears, a long-ish muzzle with a hook at the end of the upper jaw with teeth peeping out his slimmer lower jaw.There are bright blue antlers that have a curve at the front with three times at the back and this colour is shared by the four tines down his neck, an additional tine on his elbows and his eyes that can be best described as :( in shape. His cheeks and back of his head are quite fluffy and he has a dark brown stripe extending from the back of his eyes down his tines plus a pale brown dot above the eye. His main colour is a deep chestnut brown with a paler brown for under the jaw, down the neck and a little bit of a visible tummy oval. His legs are long for a villager with a dark brown from below the knee that ends with two white hoof toes in the middle of the foot and two clawed normal toes. His hands are simple paws in a dark brown. His tail is long and slender with the dark brown running along the top until it dominates the long tail floof at the end. He is wearing Centrina Court colours of green and yellow in the form of a basic shirt if with the shoulders cut out. This has a yellow trim around the colour and triangular cuffs. Where his shoulders are shown his Fallow markings can be seen. Then to make converting to this style worse, his heavily simplified wings are hanging out with chestnut brown for the main structure and pale brown for the bulk of the feathering. His little wing claw can also be seen which is white.
