Hey, I was wondering… which battery brand features a pink bunny mascot?

At a store, want to know a price, but the scanner kiosks were removed. Sign said to use their app. Okay? Download the app, scan the item I’m holding, but it’s “out of stock” with no price! Amazon app had no problem, added to cart. Never thought a brick-and-mortar would actively promote showrooming.

This story of one coder's 16-year effort to make an emulator for a largely forgotten laser disc video game system is a fun reminder of the mountains people will climb simply "because it's there."

"This is the first:" The 16 year odyssey of "time, money, wrong turns and frustration" it took to finally emulate the Pioneer LaserActive
In April 2009, a Sega fan decided to look into emulating the Mega LD, a quirky and little-known hybrid of Genesis and LaserDisc. This week he finished the job.

Love when I leave myself breadcrumbs from 25yrs ago.

With the new Commodore reboot I started wondering if I could do something with the piles of C64DTV chips I'm hording. Totally forgot I had already planned HDMI/digital video interfaces.

With @polpo.org 's latest 3.x firmware, the PicoGUS is able to emulate a CD-ROM drive! Using ISO and BIN/CUE images on a USB stick, it eliminates yet another unreliable component with moving parts in a retro PC. Join me today as I take this new feature for a spin!

Interesting thing on GBATemp: gbatemp.net/threads/tgma...

Well, that's one way to play TGM. On the GBA, no less.

I still suck at it, though. Not used to the rotation system at all or the immense speed once we're at 20G speed.

I’m working on a customizable Catch Phrase project using a Raspberry #PiPico, but I need suggestions for push buttons. Since the new LED screen occupies the same space as the original board, I can only reuse the Next button. I need something thin enough to fit, but also possibly screws in. #arduino

This is big news for the #MegaDuck laptop!

Finally we have aftermarket SRAM/Save Carts for this console, esp useful since the OEM Save Carts are basically impossible to find now.
Today my 4Mbit flashes arrived.
I immediately tested them and what should I say? Success!
The first ever to exist #MegaDuck FlashCart supporting SRAM saves 👌

This is now a standalone DataBank Module with embedded memory.

Neat 😁

Has anyone managed to 3D print replacement parts for the Apple //c monitor stand? I’ve resorted to using a chopstick to prevent my monitor from falling off.

Finally done with the Performa 6200CD. Moved off everything from the IDE drive and got BlueSCSI to boot correctly. Should be easy to add stuff now, and it runs a lot faster. Now I need to repair the SE’s floppy drive that won’t stop trying to eject.

I can’t resist a free computer. Just got another Apple donation and, oops, this iMac 13,1 isn’t supposed to run Sequoia. Might be better running Linux, but seems fine with simple stuff (like YouTube!) Might keep it on 15.2, but not sure where to put it.

Got a real TMS9918 chip in and it’s still a black screen with random Coleco noises. Did some fun troubleshooting with @leadedsolder.com and the BIOS ROM chip is a bit sus. We’ll find out in a few weeks if a different one fixes anything on the Leako! 🙏

The consolized Taito Type X controller port got an upgrade! It’s now incredibly sturdy compared to the old one that felt like it was about to snap when you plugged in a controller. Now I need to replace the one for Mr. Driller G.
