If you’re on the East Coast & have never been in this situation before I have a tip for getting rid of an inch or two of ice. Remember to let gravity & ice fractures do as much work as possible. Break chunks off like glaciers THEN scoop. Don’t hurt yourself trying to shovel it like snow. Like so:

Thought I had my setup ready but it was like an 1.5 hrs of fighting with the camera to focus, keep everything in frame & hold the mini in a way that I could reach everything reasonably well, see what I was doing & not hit the camera with the brush
