Well that's too sensible a suggestion... they're more keen to skin the ordinary people. I suspect money is changing hands between the rich and the government right now.
Privatisation of water companies led them to be so heavily run into the ground for profit that we can’t afford to re-nationalise? Have the uk government not thought of holding the fuckers who got rich off this to account and making them pay to fix it?

Sadly I fear this will become more common.
austerity, amongst other things, kills. Tho this happened under a labour gov, so whilst streeting bleats about bringing down waiting lists, its his responsibility to prevent something as bad as this from happening, even if the tories were responsible for gutting the nhs.
How disgusting this was allowed to happen. Just heartbreaking. It seems her disabled daughter died after as she was reliant on her mother for everything.

She called an ambulance on 2 Feb, but it didn't bother turning up.

Come on UK! Blooming well get signing. Unless you want your kids drinking sewage.
Water companies demand more of our cash while still pumping out sewage.
Add your name to demand money-grabbing companies fix their own mess before trying to get more money from us.

I'm just wondering. The UK population is just a beaten down mob of ever more poorly educated people. I guess fascist government has already started here now. Who will they come for next?

Is this a case of fascism , gaslighting a trans woman because she had her passport altered to align with her gender? It was actually legal, so have they removed its legality? I remember transpeople lobbying to have the right to this. Have they recinded the right?
Former Conservative MP Katie Wallis appears in court accused of having false passport
Wallis, 41, formerly known as Jamie, was accused of having a false passport "without reasonable excuse" in April 2022, while she was still the MP for Bridgend.

An adjunct to my previous post... news.sky.com/story/broken...

So insult to injury. We get to pay 50% more for the CEO's 1.2 million pound wage?
Compulsory water meters and regulator abolished - key recommendations from landmark report into 'broken' water industry
Major recommendations also include the ability to block company takeovers and taking a more interventionist approach to regulation. But nationalisation was excluded.

The greed of the few, impacting the many. Having paid into my state pension all my working life, if I'm not careful, I'll have it taken away, while the rich CEO of the failing water company gets 1.2 million a year. SMH. I live in a corrupt banana republic.
Government to conduct review into state pension age
Work and Pensions Secretary Liz Kendall says she is also reviving the Pension Commission to look at why future pensioners are set to be poorer than pensioners now.

Everything choreographed. It's a performance, not a government.
NEW ANGLE

Watch and decide, but I was never fully convinced he was shot in the first place. Never mind that his ear should’ve been blown off—now completely healed. Or that the Secret Service took their time getting him offstage.

But from this angle: you see the photographers guided into place…

BBC News - Wasps are back this summer – a lot of them
www.bbc.com/news/article...

There's a giant nest in the hedge bordering my back garden. It's tough avoiding them, but patience will pay off and hopefully they'll disappear before I get the hedge cut.
Wasps are back this summer in the UK – a lot of them
Wasps are having a good year following a cooler summer in 2024 - so how can we live alongside them without a sting?

They're all old people. Makes me proud to be a boomer.
Thank you Mr #starmer for protecting us from these terrorists.

Smart move to change the definition of Terrorism so that we can lock them up

"Rwanda really is a SAFE country"
Protesters gathered today outside Truro Cathedral in Cornwall, holding signs reading "I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action."

Similar demonstrations also took place across the UK, including in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Bristol, and Derry.
