Repeated reminders to hand in materials I don’t have at the end of the cycle was irritating!
10 tasks a week that either can’t be done work or that are frustrating to work out what to take where.

Very niche complaint, but I just read an EHCP where one of the provisions was “Jane’s anxiety will be managed.” and I just can’t articulate my fury. Especially because of how much finger pointing the LA (who wrote this shit) does when they think my school is imperfect!

Just saw the weird flag hanging vandalism guy at work in my town. Does he know all the flags are at half mast? Does he know that because he painted it on a mini roundabout, it gets driven on every day, many many times?

To y’all who think teachers are just lazy and wouldn’t handle a “real” job: I have never met anyone who left teaching and regretted it. Not one who went back into teaching after having a “real” job.

If your solution to “fakers” claiming benefits is to make them so poor that they have to work, ask yourself if you’d hire them. Unless it’s a resounding yes, your solution is something you won’t support!

Beneficiaries of an unfair system are more likely to survive to old age. They are then more likely to change their mind and support an unfair system. This is where age comes with conservatism comes from. Less people can be beneficiaries of this unfairness nowadays. Things need to change.

We have to go through long and expensive processes with highly trained professionals to prove we’re not faking, and get labelled just because we’re not like “normal” people. Still don’t get accommodated for. Call one of them ableist and you get called ridiculous

How do I get across to fellow teachers that when they suggest that adjustments given to pupils in the classroom for neurodivergence aren’t needed for teachers because “we’re grown ups” is really ableist? BTW if I say “ableist” they get defensive and stop listening.

Parents of estranged children: stop pointing out the materials needs you catered for. They are upset that you didn’t respect them and treat them with love and kindness. Did you give them UNCONDITIONAL love? Also, if your kids are “toxic” you proved my point.
