Searching my photos for #SundayPixBeginnings, I realise it's easier to document the end of something rather than the beginning. It's not easy to recognise when something starts! Here I was choosing a violin to buy, having not played one for decades. Now I'm in a band, and this is how it started.

It's taken me 3 hours to spot my rather appropriate typo.
I've just hurd Curling referred to as "Scottish Granite Floor-Darts" and that's going to stick in my head. #WinterOlympics

What I want to know is, who looks at Mandleson mooching about in pants, or Andrew kneeling on the floor over a woman etc and thinks "I should get my camera out and preserve this moment for the photo album"? Who is the photographer and what were they planning?

I can't forget the drunk (or high) man in Leeds yesterday, wandering to and fro across the road wearing socks and sellotaped shoes, gesturing broadly to the world, and calling "TEN POINTS TO GRYFFINDOR!" which instantly made him more relatable and less frightening.

A #Roman glass bowl in cobalt blue with white irregular swirls; it was made about 2000 years ago, probably in Italy, but ended up in a C1st AD grave in Roman Britain

I made the viral japanese cheesecake and yes, it absolutely works, it's delicious! Simply ram as many biscoff biscuits as you can into low fat greek yoghurt and leave overnight. Gingernuts would probably also work. 😋

When I was 18, backpacking cheaply in Europe, a New Yorker I met in Paris mentioned some expensive place that cost ‘a nominal egg!’ I thought it was SUCH a cool phrase! I think I started using it!
