#CitizensUnited equated money with free speech. As long as it’s the law of the land, those with the most money, have the most free speech, have the most freedom. This is decidedly #unamerican. #OverturnCitizensUnited

The most disturbing thing about this story, for me, is that I almost scrolled past it with fleeting outrage. There’s so much pulling on our attention and heart strings. But then I accidentally put myself in this mother’s shoes and I’m once again horrified by the depths to which some folks sink.

In Monrovia, California, protesters are purchasing 17¢ ICE scrapers from Home Depot and immediately returning them to create long lines and slow down the entire store. Their aim is to disrupt sales and convey a message opposing ICE raids occurring in their neighborhood.

No billionaires. If you can’t succeed in life with $999,999,999, you’re either bad at money, or you want enough power to exploit and manipulate.
Every country has a powerful right wing that argue “if you tax the wealthy, they’ll leave”
We need to start calling their bluff.
