If I say "thancred's shb problems are not what every other character says they are" i sound crazy but I think that's the point. if you do not make it clear what you are thinking you force other people to make assumptions.

Writing in a very abrupt style can be fun because 1) working in limitations 2) not saying too much lets the reader engage their imagination 3) you can cover a lot of ground quickly. I like it as a change of pace from FoaA where Urianger's inner world is very dense.
