Been watching some of the audio commentaries for the extended lotr and one of the main things I've noticed is that almost every extra who's face you can see is an editor, crew member or someone's kid 😆

If you're bored and you don't like doing any part of the creative process, stop doing it. Lean into the bits you love more. Hate rendering? Cel-shade. Love drawing? Detailed sketches.

I fell off this challenge a bit over Christmas but I think going back to my artistic influences will be good for me in my effort to stop chasing what I think people want.

Also - controversial opinion - I prefer Dulac to Arthur Rackham 🫢

Who remembers the Months of Love and Fear challenges on Tumblr? Does it still happen anywhere? Some secret discord the cool kids are on? Would anyone be interested in reviving them if not?

Right. I hardly ever ask for anything, but this is the year I say 'what the hell' and go for it. On all the social platforms I have ever been on, I've never broken a few hundred followers and you know what? I think my artwork is as good as accounts with thousands. I'm wishing for 1k by xmas 😂

As artists we often HAVE to post our work to engage our audience, but we don't always have the wherewithal to also provide a detailed explanation of the art.

It can prevent us from posting because while the art is finished, the Alt text can be another mountain to climb.

Don't be an ass, is all.

Considering hombrewing my own dnd class: Tavern Wench 🤔 would have something resembling the tavern brawler and chef feat? Obviously wenches can be all genders, it's a state of mind.

It is ABSOLUTELY CRIMINAL that Ellie doesn't have AT LEAST a thousand followers! Not only an incredibly talented artist but a lovely person as well! Please follow, share, support this beautiful human! 💖
