This is most excellent. I don’t do instagram, but I do occasionally watch John Oliver, and he brought it to my attention. So now I’m sharing it with you.

I’m under no obligation to give any brain cycles to people who can’t be bothered to be curious about what is happening around them. If you’re too unbothered to even ask questions about the world, I can’t be bothered to be your friend. It’s not about changing the world, it’s about personality.
Saw someone say, "End your friendships with people who are going about life like nothing is wrong." I will never understand people who think that further isolating ourselves from everyday people who don't get it is going to save us. It's not. Your judgment and disdain will not save us.

I learned media literacy as a kid. It was part of my school curriculum, and I had practical homework assignments to spot bias in newspaper reporting. I suspect it was for lots of other people, too. I wish they had paid more attention…
Obviously one must be careful in picking their sources. If all you do is watch Fox News, that’s bad. You also have to practice critical thinking. There’s a propensity for people to blame trad media “both sides-ing” issues, but if you can’t tell the difference between a legit argument backed by …

It can’t be a crisis if the branch of government that can do something about it refuses to even acknowledge that it’s a problem.
my view is that as soon as the administration froze disbursement of congressional appropriations we entered constitutional crisis territory

HUGE if true! This would be a massive story about media deliberately covering for Trump. It should be pretty easy to prove. Does anyone have any links to broadcasts from outside the US hosted on their corporate websites showing this?

(Probably not. I doubt this happened. Hoping to be wrong though!)
When social media exposes traditional media’s deceit, it’s time for independent journalists to investigate why the press is backing a president who undermines free press—and is it coordinated?

Snoop and Brady can get fukt. They both supported Trump who embodies everything that ad was supposed to be against.

1) Venn diagram of NFL and Trump is a near circle. ⭕️

People keep underestimating the popular support Trump has. It’s delusional. All the evidence is that Trump and his ilk are actually hugely popular. 🤮

2) Who cares about Tom Cruise?!
NOTES:
1. Donald was not booed, I’m sure the NFL threatened people with ejection beforehand

2. Tom Cruise did the introduction for the Super Bowl so the NFL could squeeze some more sponsorship money out of Mission Impossible and Scientology.

If democrats win the two special elections in Florida,
the house will be tied 217 and 217 and Trump will not get his agenda passed in the House.
Election day is April 1st.
District 1 and District 6.

The nominations are Gay Valimont and Joshua Weil.
THIS IS WHAT WE CAN DO.

Can someone point me to the law that Congress passed that makes it legal for a non-government, private citizen to access data this way?
But Hillary Clinton had a private server.

A message to career federal employees:

DO NOT RESIGN.

Not even in protest. Definitely don’t take “a deal”.

He doesn’t care if you quit, you’re not sending a message. Force him to fire you, without cause. It slows his Project 2025 agenda of replacing all career service employees with loyalists.

Leavitt reading a statement from the WH regarding drones over New Jersey:

All were authorized by the FAA. They were for research, hobbyist, recreational, and private use. “This was not the enemy.”

Well no shit.

Also, who is “The Enemy”?

/rhetorical

The Press. The press is the enemy. Right?

It would be a damming statement to send him a different bottle of alcohol for every day in the year.
Do any of you have an address where I can send Pete Hegseth a bottle of champagne to congratulate him on his confirmation?

Thanks in advance.

The thing is, Netanyahu can unilaterally decide to end the Gaza campaign any time. Which he is doing now to support the narrative that his buddy Trump ended the war. And the protest voters aren’t going to see the lie. They will only see that the bombing has ended.
The Trump White House has reportedly instructed the Pentagon to release the hold imposed by the Biden administration on the supply of 2,000-pound bombs to Israel.

Where are all those college protests now? 🤷
Scoop: Trump lifts Biden's hold on 2,000-pound bombs to Israel
Biden had used the hold to protest Israel's invasion of Rafah.

I fundamentally do not understand non-voters. It is self-defeating behavior. Always vote. Vote 3rd party or write-in over *not* voting. No 3rd party will ever get support if all the anti-2-party protest votes just stay home. Not voting cedes the only power you have.
I do think that a bit of intra-coalitional bridge building that should be done is to admit that while not voting is dumb and bad, some (definitely not all) of the things that motivate anti-voting leftist types are valid complaints about the way a two-party system structures people's options.
