Much better than the first one. It's amazing how a few tweaks can make all the difference.
Still, the spikes in this game are really annoying. I died a million times on that Antarctica level, and this game hates checkpoints.

Every time I try to play Abe's Oddysee, I try that first hidden encounter and remember just how ridiculous this game can be. The Mudoken AI just seems to do whatever it wants. If you actually saved all 99 of these guys, you have the patience of a saint.

I'm usually pretty good at recognizing voice actors and remembering what they sound like, but I have yet to recognize Xander Mobus in anything despite him showing up everywhere.
He's in Pac Man as the evil ghost tree, and I legit thought it was Dan Castellaneta doing a Vincent Price impression.

Are hispeedido kits for GBA supposed to be total crap? They keep shipping LCDs with pressure spots on them (obvious dark splotches). The HDMI either has noise, the passthrough to the screen doesn't work, and one kit had a broken voltage regulator that causes the screen to get brighter over time.

Despite having started a new degree program recently, I did finally find some time to work on the Donkey Kong 64 script again. I'm not sure how soon I can voice and edit it, but all I've really got left to write about is the endgame.

You'd think I'd be more excited to hear that one of my favorite, most replayed games is getting a modernized remake. However, that post that got shared around a week ago where one of the creatives bragged about using AI Generated assets killed any interest I had before it was even announced.

Really baffling that Nintendo surprise dropped a patch for Pikmin 4 two years after release and it's somehow not a Switch 2 upgrade.

It seems like every time The Office does something interesting to the status quo, they immediately undo it a few episodes later. Jim gets to be co-manager for half a season. David Wallace decides to transfer Holly back to Nashua between episodes. Ryan is Michael's boss for almost a season.

It's a rom hack of Super Metroid that reimagines Fusion with Super physics and new ideas, developed over ten years. It's probably the most impressive hack I've ever played, to the point that it feels like a whole new game. It's equal parts amazing and awful.

It occurred to me that we don't know who is doing the soundtrack for Metroid Prime 4. Kenji Yamamoto is so inextricable from the trilogy and is responsible for the series' best music, yet he hasn't composed for the series since Prime 3 in 2007. Same for Minako Hamano from Super/Fusion.
