“thinking like a scientist also requires us to feel like a scientist [...] How do we broaden the ability to feel like a scientist when sharing the value of and passion for science with the public or other communities?"

Now on my annual pilgrimage to Tucson.
I’m looking forward to catching up with the Research Corporation for Science Advancement #CottrellScholar community.

If you see me, let’s take a selfie, and post on your preferred social(s).
In the end, I’ll report which one won the count!

We just finished our 13th Telluride Science biennial workshop on Chemical Dynamics in Complex Environments (Chem-DiCE).
Hard to believe that we started 25 years ago!

Many thanks to all the participants. Everyone was engaged. The science was awesome. And, I learned a lot.

Great to collaborate with the Giraldo Lab and our CSN (@sustainablenano.bsky.social) team!
New paper just out by a great team of CSN collaborators! Plant biology, computational chemistry, synthetic chemistry, & analytical chemistry all working together to advance our understanding of nanoparticle-plant interactions - very important for advances in sustainable agriculture!

After 32 years, I finally had a chance to return to advancing Semiclassical Transition State Theory (SCTST). Check out our paper, just published in @JChemPhys (with Alex Popov!)

He says that Chemistry is Everything, and I’m hoping that he would agree that it is Everywhere, too!

In case you saw a 404 error this weekend, please know that the page is still there!
We know the link to our Inclusion & Belonging page was temporarily broken. It was meant to redirect to our new inclusion and belonging page, which aligns with the ACS strategic plan 2025-2029 released on Jan. 1.

This has now been corrected, and you can access it here: www.acs.org/about/inclus...

I very much enjoyed engaging with the ACS Memphis Local Section last Thursday, and U. Memphis last Friday.
Great students, members and colleagues!
Pleased to have reason for optimism for the future of chemistry.
Our department, Memphis Local Section, and our student ACS org kicked off the semester with a visit from @everywherechem.bsky.social! A huge shot of positive vibes to keep me and the younger chemists I teach and work with inspired and motivated during dark and stressful times.

I was at the ACS Leadership Institute in Houston this past weekend. I was fortunate to engage with many volunteers and future leaders. I didn’t take many photos. Instead, I am happy to highlight their photos and experiences, such as this one from the aptly named Fun Man ( @chemfunman.bsky.social )
I’m privileged to participate in the ACS leadership Institute 2025 under the YCC Leadership Development Award. I am hearing our young ACS Singapore 🇸🇬 Chapter is doing quite well! ☺️ I made new friends and learned many lessons from fellow volunteers. @everywherechem.bsky.social @lauralmcc.bsky.social
