Got out for a walk this morning before beginning work. Trying to give my SCN strong cues as to the time of day. It has been confused lately so hoping to reset those bundles of cells.
Nice to keep spotting cute little pied wagtails on my walk lately.

Remembering that everything is temporary. Even if it don’t feel like it. The lows are inevitable, but so are the highs. Gotta go with the ebbs and flows.
I have a serious question… like deadass . How do yall keep going on ?? Like how don’t you give up ?

When healing isn’t equal: racial bias and the burden of mental health
People of color, particularly those who are racialized, face a certain burden while seeking mental health support: the burden to explain.

Took my phone in for repairs and had an encounter with the shop assistant. She looked at me in the queue and chose violence. No hello just stared at me as if 'what do you want?'. Given how exhausted I was already coming into town on my day off, I chose violence back.
I just want a working phone?

The anxiety I get with anything around the DWP is just wild. It’s because for a while I depended fully on their ability to function and make fair decisions for my livelihood like many people do. But sadly they often don’t function well or make fair decision (due to unfair outsourced assessments).

I made it to swimming today, though, and put dinner in the slow cooker late.
It's almost ready.
I feel out of sync because of the frustrating day I've had today. Hopefully tomorrow is better

An unproductive day off. A repair company I paid money to is fraudulent, so I have to report. Called today after emails unreponsive and no customer services so rang sales line, and the guy was obtuse and unhelpful. If there is no movement or progress by midweek, reporting to credit card company

Missing this little fella. He likes to drink out of glasses placed around the house. Presents a problem if you're looking after him and are in the habit of leaving your personal drinks unattended.

March 2023 - Drove to Pembrokeshire and stayed in a caravan. Rabbits were on the lawn when I arrived and the beach was just 10mins walk away.

One day, i took anxiety and pent up feelings to the beach. let go of it all and danced.
It really helped.
Didn’t care if anyone saw me dancing.

Back on sofa now under my fluffy blanket. Heat pad on my feet. Have set the thermostat to maintain 18c since we're expecting snow tonight. Brewed some hot chocolate to have with my roll. Have also put on the projector to watch No Good Deed

Es housemate has returned and now looking after cat Ralph. E stopped over in Korea after NZ and shes travelling back home now. She's visited the Kimchi museum as she loves Kimchi too and has picked up some for me as well 😋

Just had a shower in my own home. I know now what it is about Es shower. It's the cubicle for that enclosed feeling and the lighting. Mine is a harsh white light, and hers is a warm light. Makes sense as to why I enjoy candle light baths in the evenings.

Decided to make some more Sorrel drink and glaze. Didn't make any this Christmas and it's a Jamaican trad. Put some blood orange peel in with the dried sorrel leaves, ginger and all spice.

The pot has boiled so will leave it to steep overnight. Tomorrow I'll have sorrel drink and make up the sauce

Gonna prepare a meal to cook in the slow cooker. I have some homemade sorrel sauce in freezer and peppers so will put these in with the pork I've defrosted. Will seal and brown meat now. I rarely eat pork but I bought it for the festive period so might as well cook it up

With it being the middle of winter, all this 'new year, new me' stuff feels unnatural for me. Winter means slowness, darkness and stillness but spring in a few months means more light, more warmth, more colour to motivate and energise the 'doing'.

It is really scary s***t that Nigeria was bombed and now the Venezuelan capture. UN definitely seems powerless and incapable at this point.

Staff at my local coffee shop know my name. Slow turnover of staff there too. Sometimes I go there with my cup for a hot beverage and chat. Whenever I've been isolating myself, sometimes a trip there to pick up a hot beverage can feel really nice. Not massive convos, just humans being kind

Stopped by J's yesterday and after making us cups of cbd tea, he walked me into his home studio. I had absolutely no idea he made music but he was shy about performing in front of me. He does it mainly for his own expression rather than share with the world. I really understand that.
