Thought I'd try some crisps from the festive aisle for a taste test. Sadly, they didn't have the mince pies I was looking for. Bit disappointing as they don't taste like anything. Was expecting something punchier. Suppose they might be nice for ppl who like subtle tastes

Made it to A's art group. Worked on a painting I started a few weeks ago and received some encouraging feedback about it. Also worked on two new bits - drawing and fun painting. The lama is unfinished so can finish it off next time.

Didn't get to finish my painting this weekend but will get the chance to work on it in my friends art group.
Sad the weekend is coming to a close. Had a fairly quiet and low key one. I did get to finish my doodles drawing as I relaxed on the sofa watching The Beast in Me.

It rained heavily for most of the day yesterday so today's 🌞 was welcome. Went for a long walk and took my book with me so I could read in the sun. Didn't bring gloves so didn't sit reading for long

One of my favourite places to escape to, find some solace or just enjoy the sounds of the water, sounds of infinite space and whispering trees. The cold winter breeze is refreshing after building up some heat while walking.

She looks very comfy in it, which is importantas we head into winter and have rain. I saw a dog the other day (a whippet, I think) shivering cold without a jacket. It was a puppy too and I felt sorry for it. Today this dog made me smile

Woke up early and went on a high ropes course with a few other women in Ashton Court. Challenging but fun rope course up in the trees. Came home and slept for a bit. Just had a ginger shot and feeling more awake. Friends met up across town earlier, but I bailed out to come home and rest.

Finally finished Demon Copperhead last week. Whew - what a book! If I say anything, it might spoil it for future readers, but I'm a new fan of Kingsolver. The history facts were good to learn. I have Flight Behaviour 2, but taking a break from the heavy tearjerkers to read Lonely Londoners #booksky

This is a great scheme I utilised in Bristol. My friends who are drivers and cyclists have given it a go and motivated me to try it. Buses aren't my favourite way to get around but was able to experience travelling on the new fleet of air conditioned buses while it was hot.

Spent the afternoon/evening playing around with Gelli plate prints and learning the ropes of this new skill. Snuggled up now on the sofa under my fluffy and weighted blanket to read and delight in little chocolate

Indeed, they are in many cities, though not as yet in NY! I thought about how this might take away jobs from taxi business owners, but also, I felt safe at night as a tipsy woman on her own getting in this car. The car also stopped when a pedestrian just randomly stepped out in the street.
