If this indeed is the end of the Assad regime, it is difficult not to reflect on all the death, suffering and destruction that have taken place since the peaceful protests began in connection with the so-called Arab Spring. Much could have been very different.
Residents in the suburbs of the capital, Damascus, are coming out onto the streets to celebrate as the Assad regime leaves and opposition forces arrive.

The feminist revolution is taking far too long time. ♀️
carocodsigouvernanceaufeminin on Instagram: "Women from all over the world — from Nigeria to New Zealand, from Syria To Scotland, from Ireland to India, the United States, and …"
Women from all over the world — from Nigeria to New Zealand, from Syria To Scotland, from Ireland to India, the United States, and beyond — are speaking up and naming the realities women face globally, challenging assumptions, breaking silence, and drawing millions of people into a global conversation about gender inequality and harassment. Each woman in that video names a reality that most of the world still refuses to see, from everyday harassment to systemic denial of rights. This @hasslofficial campaign isn’t about pointing fingers at any one place. It is about connecting the dots, acknowledging that gender-based discrimination and violence take different shapes in different societies, but they are part of the same global problem. And when women around the world say “name one country…” and are met with recognition and solidarity, we begin to see that this is not isolated suffering — it is a shared human injustice that demands a shared human response.By amplifying these voices, we do more than raise awareness. We build a collective understanding, and that lays the groundwork for real cultural change, real policy change, and real accountability. Because when women everywhere are heard, the world can no longer pretend these experiences are normal or acceptable.Stand with this campaign, share it, and let the truth spoken by women everywhere be the catalyst for equality and safety in every country.View all 1,975 comments

Irrespective of whether Jesus was a real person or not, the fact is the Bible states he was born in Bethlehem, Palestine to non-white parents & was of no fixed abode.
He disliked the rich & spent his life advocating for the vulnerable & poor.
Perhaps Christians should take note.

What’s happening in Sudan is a real, generational crime against humanity.

“At least” 60,000 murdered.

I know aid workers that said their networks of contacts were almost entirely killed off.
So, El Fasher looks like one of the worst single event atrocities to happen this century so far, but the evidence has come in such a trickle it seems to only now be getting verified
