Thank God the last 30 minutes or so are decent. The first 50 are, genuinely, near-insufferable. The dialogue is often this horrific middle ground of not being stage acting and not being naturalistic. I’m someone who laughs a LOT and I didn’t even chuckle a single time.

Great acting, super arresting score. The movie was discomforting in a strangely personal way to me but it was able to do so because of how well it was crafted. Not sure I like the ending, I think I understand what it was going for but I would have preferred something else.

We have to be present with them 24/7, and if you’re a self-critical person, it’s very easy to get highly punishment-oriented with yourself.
