Since it cannot win on the battlefield, Russia has relentlessly bombed Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, weaponising hunger and basic human needs. Forcing Ukraine into surrender through civilian suffering appears to have become Russia’s central strategy in the war.

Pro-Kremlin outlets claim that “Bloomberg praised the ruble’s 2025 performance.”

In reality, Bloomberg warned that the unusually strong ruble could actually HURT Russia’s economy. As usual, Moscow is bending the truth and strips away the key context.

Reality: Far-right groups got 2,15% and no seats support in 2019 elections. They have zero control over government or Zelenskyy.

In recent surveys, 55-80% of Ukrainian respondents reject giving up territory.

Russia systematically censors its information space: independent media are blocked or forced into exile, Facebook & Instagram are banned, and platforms like YouTube & X face throttling or state pressure. Journalists who challenge Kremlin narratives risk fines or prosecution.

In 2025, Russian disinformation focused on projecting strength despite growing limits. Kremlin media inflated minor battlefield gains in Ukraine into major victories to mask military and economic strain and offset real weaknesses ahead of negotiations.
