So true, Impiety. Any story that says a god allows immoral acts as noted in the bible, torah or quran & one who commits immoral acts itself, is not a god! It’s just a man-made character based on man’s imperfections.
If your moral standard is that God can command anything, even mass slaughter, & is deemed ‘good’ simply because he commands it, then morality becomes arbitrary.
It’s no longer about justice or compassion; it’s about blind obedience.
