Lots of excitement over SB 79—understandably. I would add, every single bill California YIMBY sent to the governor was signed today. www.gov.ca.gov/2025/10/10/g...

Where can I buy a bumper sticker that says “I bought the other sticker before Elon turned sane again”?

Dear @caltrans.bsky.social: The walk signal in front of the school takes forever to change, so kids dart across 4 lanes of highway traffic. Seems unsafe.

Dear concerned parent: The walk signal is working as designed. Motorists take priority. Thanks for supporting our efforts to talk about safety.

So now we're all supposed to pretend that it's actually fine to use personal devices outside any security policy to plan a military operation, just because no one in charge can own up to a mistake? Cool cool.

“Please return my call at your earliest convenience” does not work the other way around, unless you’re going for subtle snark.
If you mean to be gracious, it’s “I’ll return your call at my earliest opportunity.”
This is a public service announcement.

Censoring an entire website on HIV prevention because it might help trans people is not promoting a gender ideology?

Headline writers usually avoid unnecessary redundancy and extra repetition, so I wonder how icebergs have been known to spin other than in circles?

i don't know why this is so hard for people. biweekly means you are attracted to your own week and also other weeks
Can we all just agree that “biweekly” means every other week, and “twice-weekly” means twice a week? Or better yet, just get rid of “biweekly” altogether?

Headline writing is hard, but there's gotta be some way to avoid leaning so heavily on that poor comma.
