Dangerous is my latest novel. A dark historical crime mystery, featuring Lord Byron in Venice and a spate of Vampiric style killings. Is he innocent or guilty?

I have a new book coming out this April, based on Lord Bryon's time in Venice, and the publication of The Vampyre - murders, mystery, decadence, and possibly a real vampire in the mix. Dangerous by Essie Fox, published by @orendabooks.bsky.social

It’s still remarkable that Disney produced - and released - this segment in 1940. A horror short that should rank with its Universal monster movie contemporaries… The animation is lush and experimental, and really shows off the Disney special animated effects team…

A really good thread about Ian McEwan's latest novel, What We Can Know. I've read it twice now - despite nearly giving up on the first reading. But so glad I carried on. It's a masterpiece. I am convinced of that. It's full of wisdom, and yearning, guilt ... and the hope of redemption.
Imagine it’s 100 years in the future and your a scholar of English Lit. 1990 - 2030 (before the degradation and inundation). This is how you’d imagine us, from the mind of the wonderful Ian McEwan in “What We Can Know”:

THIS REVIEW!!

'And one of those characters is Lord Byron, exiled in the city, disgraced back home (a failed marriage, mounting debt and scandalous affairs) – he almost seems to follow in the footsteps of Casanova, seducing women at every turn.'

'The brooding, damp atmosphere is evocatively rendered in the capable hands of this author, offering a rich and textured backdrop, like a dark, velvet carapace enveloping the characters. Any visitor to Venice will have some sense of the ‘otherworldliness’
