The protests in Iran for the last decade and now is epoch making. It is devastating to see people lose their lives when they ask to live in another way, under a different government. The courage of people and especially of women in this movement is world-inspiring, to say the least.

"Running the country" is the new parlance for Western colonialism and militarism, "reimbursement" for oil imperialism, added to the familiar tropes of "bringing democracy, justice and peace." In the meantime, the world is silent as if two wrongs make a right.
