Todays' best find: Jean Astruc, c. 1760, musing on WTF was with ancient medics' counterintuitive silence on nymphomania. Weirdly similar to my own work - 260 years on, I'm pondering similar re Astruc's peers.

I've just done a big revision of my post on the #intersex person Margaret Bradley of (aptly) Middlesex. Exploring the scholarship has shown this is rare evidence indeed, one of only a handful of intersex individuals documented in Europe before 1550. Read! Repost! consistory.org/2018/05/14/b...
