The turnaround time between the European & Four Continents figure skating championships seems particularly brutal this year. Only time for very selective viewing. Working day not helping with 4CCs being nearly in my time zone.

My favourite TV show. Trying to keep an open mind about a reboot but makes me uneasy.

Grateful to have all the windows in the house open this morning after yesterday's 45C (113F) scorcher. And this is what the car showed after being parked in the street (under a tree) for a couple of hours. Nobody tell me climate change isn't real.

I heartily second this sentiment.
I love #DuvetKnowItsChristmas each year, mainly appreciating that most peoples houses are not show home perfect and we all have “stuff”

For those not in the know, apart from the hilarious (and sometimes scary) pics of sleeping arrangements #DuvetKnowItsChristmas aims to raise money for homeless charities. Centrepoint in the UK (www.gofundme.com/f/duvet-know...) or an equivalent local charity in your country.

Christmas morning here in 'Straya. We've breakfasted, opened presents and Christmas lunch is in the oven (thank you husband!). Time to settle down and catch up on #DuvetKnowItsChristmas and be thankful our Christmas tradition is to be at home in our own house. My favourite so far:
I’m entering The Teenager as potential winner of #Duvetknowitschristmas

He’s had to move from his bedroom to the unconverted attic

Cardboard floor & headboard is a nice touch which I’m sure he appreciates

He think it looks like he’s living in a meth den

Oh - Netflix Australia has Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries. That will do nicely as light viewing which I’ve seen before and enjoy but not a bazillion times.

Both arrived in today’s mail! Of course I’ve already read the Log several times when editing, but still, some light Christmas reading.

Christmas party season is upon us... and these medieval faces feel way too relatable!

Seen any of these characters at your Christmas do? 👀

With one month still to go, wondering what else 2025 will manage to throw at us. Can I see a trailer for 2026 please before I decide to purchase?

So not just me who would like to see this in a home renovation or real estate show just once.
CLIENT: we’d really love to redo this into like a niiice closed floor plan

DESIGNER: closed?

CLIENT: yeah something that’s just terrible for entertaining, you know?

DESIGNER: but…

CLIENT: think we can put a wall up here? I’d really love this to be the kind of kitchen nobody wants to hang out in

Interesting. I'm not optimistic anything will come of this review, but perhaps it could turn into something longer term. There must be a way to put some structure around the rules to make the calling of elements more consistent.
The ISU says they are “undertaking a review following inquiries received about the ice dance event at ... Finlandia Trophy.”

This action comes after top ice dancers at Finlandia spoke out against the scoring & overall direction of the discipline.
