#Pale moonlight. That’s the example that’s always given for show don’t tell. Yet it wasn’t until someone said showing is indicating someone’s sweating on a hot day rather than saying they feel hot that I understood. At least now I get it. 😁

The sun existed but never rose. #Shadows lost to the annals of time. Elsbeth sobbed for experiences she’d never have. She lacked the money to travel to the places where the sun lived. She was trapped. As so many of her kind were. Screaming was her only release.

I haven’t been posting often, but I joined #FirstStrides two months ago to start #running / #walking in a more structured way. I’m now signed up for the #Womens5K next Saturday (4 Oct 2025). I just need to hydrate more this week and enjoy the experience! 🏃🏻‍♀️‍➡️🥳
