“When you're infected with #measles, your #immune system abruptly forgets every pathogen it's ever encountered before – every cold, every bout of flu, every exposure to bacteria or viruses, every #vaccination. The loss is near-total and permanent.” If you are #antivax, you are courting death.
The race to understand 'immune amnesia'
Scientists have known for years that measles can alter the immune system – but the latest evidence suggests it's less of a mild tweaking, and more of a total reset.

I'm so sad to see this. Brooklyn 99 is my go-to rewatch show. He was incredible as Captain Holt.
Andre Braugher, the actor who starred in “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “Homicide: Life on the Street,” has died. He was 61.

Braugher also played Frank Pembleton on “Homicide: Life on the Street.”

My workspace today. I love the big idea work that I'm getting to accomplish at the end of this year.

Because Bluesky doesn't (yet) use hashtags the way we're used to, here's how to follow along with all the art during #ArtAdventCalendar.
Click the Feeds link > Search > Click the feed, Click Save & Pin to Home > Click Like (helps others find it). The feed will be available in #Feeds.Click & Enjoy!

I don't think I fully realized how many good ideas I got from folks on Twitter until now. I can't overstate how much I loved bookmarking interesting ideas on Twitter and returning from time to time to revisit my treasure trove of weird little ideas to spark creativity. I miss that.

Sharing a recent NPR article about the #mental and emotional toll that working in #climatescience has had on front line scientists: www.npr.org/2023/11/29/1.... It features Martha Durr, former Nebraska climatologist who recently left her position after almost 8 years. She will be dearly missed.

Hello! 👋 Trying out Bluesky. Hoping to eventually find community away from Twitter/X. Especially on the lookout for #Nebraska #teachers! If you are out there, let's follow one another 😀
