My kid just caught me dancing to Primus & ran away from me out of embarrassment as she described my style as:
"Kangaroo break dancing plus irish jig."
And, yes, she is 100 percent correct.

Welp, we found some expired oxy from a previous surgery. Stuff always scared me & never helped much before (hence unused), but it was immensely helpful to get enough relief for just a few hours of sleep. 😴

I'm not sure I have ever been as sick from a cold/flu as I am right now.
I wish I were in a coma so I couldn't feel it. Is there a way to DIY a coma that doesn't risk permanent injury?

It was so embarrassing when he was on a NYT podcast with Michelle Goldberg. She brought information; he brought vibes. I stopped listening because it felt like watching a pingpong game where one player just serves again & again, and the other spends every turn searching for the ball under the couch.

never got as close to the officers as to the guy who was willing to subdue him with just a blanket. I knew legal justification wouldn't be questioned. And blanket guy might have been cut. And the officer was sobbing; even the widow worried for him. He'd acted as trained. Just ... sad all around.

When I've done radio in-studio, I warn the host I won't look at them in case I say something that makes sense as a wry joke if you see me smiling but sounds psycho if you just hear me. (I usually still sound psycho though.)

I am baffled that they got such a fantastic cast. Do actors not read scripts they agree to perform? The movie is bizarre! I just saw it yesterday (sick day) and immediately looked for reviews so I could be sure it wasn't a fever dream.

… living the effects of this in many ways, particularly on the faculty level at “elite” institutions, but also for students who go into fields seen as more “traditionally suited” to men. Not to mention the way those campuses function when it comes to structural sexism, & sexual harassment & assault.
