Maybe I'm not following the right/enough people here, but the timeline is in shambles, vibes completely off.

After checking in on this site, it seems this is a growing problem.
I just clicked a mildly political post and the replies were straight hatred.
I've gotten several hundred new followers the past couple of days. Lots of bots, lots of people with political opinions I am very uninterested in engaging with. And Bluesky *still* doesn't make it possible to remove followers

I have absolutely no idea what blaming and shaming an open source researcher is supposed to accomplish – apart from maybe preventing someone from being able to develop a better open source recommendation algorithm for Bsky.

This is actually fantastic and exactly the kind of thing that gets me really excited about Bluesky.
The negative reactions of some is expected, but disappointing.
Releasing: a dataset of two million Bluesky posts.

This dataset has been collected using Bluesky's API, and I hope it will be useful for all the researchers out there!

@pfrazee.com is really doing an amazing job
It’s so nice to be at the stage of a lifetime of a platform when everyone mostly agrees the people running it are working hard and doing a good job. Let’s enjoy that while we can!

This can't possibly be an effective use of time for a US Senator? I mean, "predatory pricing of .com web addresses", really?

Alright, this is cool
Note the replies section in this blogpost
While Bluesky looks like other social apps on the surface, it’s actually quite different. It’s an open network.

I blogged about it here:

Great feature!

Used gwerns exported RSS feeds to bootstrap my RSS reader yesterday. Same concept, worked great.
Let’s welcome new Bluesky users!

Just read about layered moderation in the HN announcement for Bluesky no longer being invite-only.

Got me excited enough to check back.

Okay but seriously the vast majority of poasting is meta-level stuff about Bluesky, we need to populate it with actual object-level content to be a real platform
