‘YOLL’ a male that’s nested here the last 2 yrs and his half-sister, 'BOL’ are carefully sharing incubation duties. But they aren’t the only plovers in the neighborhood! (1/3)

#DidYouKnow Wilson’s Phalaropes engage in a type of capillary action feeding, spinning in circles to create a vortex that sweeps the bird’s prey to the surface of the water like tea leaves in a tea cup. 🦐🌪️☕️
