Was going to go sweep the floor, but Zorro is asleep and I can't move now...

Well done!
Have you heard this good news?
As of January 1, every single one Chicago's 400+ municipal buildings — including 98 fire stations, two international airports, and two of the largest water treatment plants on the planet — is running on 100% renewable energy

Chicago keeps its New Year's resolution: All city buildings now use 100% clean power
To achieve its climate goals, the city helped finance the largest solar farm east of the Mississippi River.

Ah. Well that explains all the spammy additions I've given up correcting.
Hilarious AI-generated nonsense from Ancestry.com. Edla Maria Mattfolk (1875-1946) is named on her husband Carl's WWI-era draft card because she's his _next of kin_, not because she _herself_ registered for the draft, for cry eye. New frontiers in artificial stupidity.

Libraries are awesome places! And if I can't get to mine, I just sign in online and reserve the book I want, or borrow an ebook for a read. Really, libraries have never been more relevant -- or needed.

From NPR this morning. Where do you find "carrion cows," and what do they eat?

As well-meaning publishers try to navigate the coming storm of state laws against diversity, I hope they'll consider Timothy Snyder's Rule #1 (from his slim book ON TYRANNY).

This is Zorro, the elegant Tuxedo cat with a big heart--on his back. He came screaming across the front yard as a 7 week-old kitten, looking for food. My feral colony stepped aside and he dove in. He'll be 10 in September, and is a slightly neurotic mama's boy.

This is the old man, Cocoa Bean, aka Mr Bean or just coke. He's all or mostly a Bombay, who wandered up on my porch about 4 years ago. After talking to previous owner (microchip), we think he is about 13 years old. He is very loud and very snuggly.

In @vox.com, I explained how federal policy encourages car bloat, making American vehicles more enormous, polluting, and dangerous than they'd otherwise be.

That's the exact opposite of what we should be doing.

And as long as we're sharing adorable things...

Follow your instructor's advice.

Naps are a team sport.

You aren't as naturally gifted at them as cats are, so always have a spotter or two! Ease into it slowly, and remember, your spine doesn't bend as readily as theirs!
