The one thing I can appreciate about the train wreck that was Love Hurts is Ke Huy’s fly ass sweater #filmsky

Just imagining #Anora get that Best Picture, Editing, Screenplay, and Director win got me giddy. I thought my favorite movie of the year was dead, but this weekend brought it all the way back to life! #AcademyAwards #filmsky

So ready to never be subjected to the Novocaine trailer ever again 😅

Really enjoyed this movie by Soderbergh and the unique nature he decided to dive into a dramatic topic. Though I thought it was mis-marketed, I thought the surprise of what I got instead of a horror film was better than my expectations! #filmsky

@ericjamal91.bsky.social shares how in #TheSubstance, Elisabeth and Sue both receive a bouquet of flowers from the studio with very different messages. We see the fickle nature of fame and fan adoration in how these messages affect both of them.

2024 was a year characterized by movies I liked more than I loved. It still gave me some of the highest highs and films I truly won’t forget—here are my top 15 with a few honorable mentions! #Filmsky #Topof2024

When I think about #TheBrutalist, I think of the first half—a near-perfect movie setting up the inevitable downfall of the American Dream. The second half isn’t as gripping and left me cold, but in hindsight, I can still appreciate both halves’ contributions to the film’s greatness. #Filmsky

#Babygirl is so unserious. It doesn’t capitalize on a really interesting Nicole Kidman performance and instead puts her opposite a stiff Harris Dickinson with a porno-quality screenplay. It is, however, entertaining so lower your expectations and you may have a good time. #filmsky

#Dawgs should have never been down 20 to SC State, but damn it felt good to see ‘em fight back and win by 9!

God bless the parents—especially the mothers—because this movie was borderline horror for those of us contemplating children in the future. #Nightbitch is an average film with a fantastic central performance that will stick with me longer than most. A perfect example of a 3-star film. #filmsky

This may legit be the funniest movie of 2024! Absolutely loved the delight that June Squibb brings with #Thelma! #filmsky

The last 20 minutes of this took me for a loop as Sebastian Stan commits to the spiral. A Different Man is a great display of acting between Sebastian, Adam Pearson, and Renate Reinsve. All around a film that’s a little odd, but a lot of good! #filmsky

I like to think of myself as a person with strong morals…but Juror # 2 has me questioning that! With a premise this strong and Clint Eastwood directing, this movie was destined to be great. I sort of hated the eventual conclusion, but that can be forgiven because overall this is some heat! #filmsky

I still can’t fully describe just how I feel about #EmiliaPerez. I know it’s unlike anything I’ve watched before and watching Karla Sofía Gascón was an incredible pleasure. It’s uneven and kind of a mess—but I still loved it? #filmsky #netflix

His Three Daughters is heartbreaking and beautiful; a movie that centers the way we humans clash into each other during times of grief. I loved and understood each one of these women so deeply and that is masterful writing/filmmaking. One of this year’s best films! #netflix #filmsky

SING SING: Colman Domingo’s on his way to a Best Actor nomination, and he deserves the win. A career best performance, but he's not alone. The supporting cast of real-life formerly incarcerated men do the RTA program proud, bringing their experiences to life on screen. I'm still weepy — a triumph.
