I was wondering if you repost this dog. Her name is MELIA, only 3.5 years old and at the shelter 843 days. Shes looking for a quiet adult only home. Cat friendly. No dogs.

Whatever happens now, we absolutely cannot allow Trump's refusal to seek Congressional authorization for what appears to be a large scale military attack on another country vanish from the media discussion, which already appears to be happening.

So we’re just announcing foreign strikes and kidnappings of foreign leaders on social media now? No Congress. No explanation.

This is madness.

Maduro is bad, his government has been bad, that’s not the point. There are multiple bad state leaders in the world.

The point is whether removal by force makes things better.

Whatever the goal—drugs? migration? conditions in Venezuela?—destabilization could make things worse.

Contact your senators and demand that they check the regime’s lawless violence — or there’s no telling where this will end.

We can debate about Venezuela's significance in the drug trade, but know this... If he was right wing/fascist, he would still be in charge of the country. The real reason Trump wanted him gone is his politics, and that should concern any country that isn't fascist.

How do we minimize upfront carbon and operating emissions while improving health and comfort with the least stuff for the most people? The answer may not be “fabric first.” It may be a heat pump and a solar panel. It may be a good pair of long underwear. In 2026, I will not be so doctrinaire.
In the age of heat pumps, are "fabric first" retrofits a thermal bridge too far?
My question for 2026: How do we minimize upfront carbon and operating emissions while improving health and comfort with the least stuff for the most people?

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.
