I would do anything to get hired for a software role at this point. It’s terrifying seeing tons of people all saying they’re in the same position, applying to hundreds of roles for months and getting nowhere.

Discord is already starting to walk things back a little, so people should keep doing what they're doing (cancel Nitro, leave feedback/criticism, direct contact through support tickets/phone/email/etc)

There is not, so far as I know, an actual law requiring them to do this. (And if there were, I would’ve expected them to cite it in their press release.) This looks to me to be compliance in advance—they already did it for the UK (where it IS the law) so now they’re doing it elsewhere.
