I cannot believe they keep organizing conferences in my own city. How am I supposed to justify flying somewhere, eating expensive cheese, and whispering "ah yes, ontology" in a dramatic accent? This is sabotage.

AI editing has pushed academia into anti-ontology. Every sentence explains what something is not. It is not x; it is y. Rather than x, y. Soon, papers will start with "This is not a paper, this is a journey."

Quine would be edited as 'On What There Isn’t' today.

Make a philosophical discipline more fun (or less, if you're offended 😁):

brontology - studying ancient dinosaur species

happystemology - analyzing happy STEM researchers

philosophy of rind - studying various parmigianos

Philosophies and MDPI are so predatory. Why are people publishing there? I made a grave mistake of reviewing for Philosophies and the amount of garbage they publish even though it was rejected is amazing.

PhilPeople feels less like a very polite cemetery. I want notifications with drama!

- Anna cited you aggressively.
- Mark just rejected your paper and also your entire research program.
- Three philosophers near you are currently arguing about grounding.

My TEDxNewEngland talk is out!!!

By identifying commonalities among evolving systems, both living and nonliving, we can develop an expanded concept of evolution that describes the emergence of complex phenomena and reflects the creativity of the cosmos.

Finished my part for the 2nd ed. of Introduction to #DeepLearning. Weirdly relaxing to write without the gentle background anxiety of preempting philosophical objections. I just multiply vectors and don't worry about what is it like to be a function.
