In the past day I’ve heard two people who really should know better say they asked ChatGPT for factual info.

ChatGPT is not a search engine. It is predictive text based on other people’s stolen writing; its whole job is to make stuff up. Please do not ask it for facts. Tell a friend.

Check out this new work from our lab led by Stanley Seah, showing that better skills in emotion differentiation protect against intergenerational transmission of social anxiety symptoms from parents to teens. Effects are driven by reduced behavioral avoidance in teens with better ED! #PsychSciSky

Hello BlueSky! I am an MSc (1+3) student studying psychological research @ University of Oxford, interested in child and adolescent mental health, particularly how young people understand, conceptualise, and talk about their mental health.

I am also interested in 70s music, sports, and snacks 😎

Every step of accessing services for children is like completing an escape room puzzle only to get out and find it was just inside a bigger harder escape room puzzle.
In a way the AON delays are the least of it because they are a formal assessment for services which in many cases barely exist at all. Gaslighting on an industrial scale

I've just hosted an excellent talk by Dr Jo Billington from the University of Reading, about the lived experience of autistic children in mainstream primary schools. I ended with a great feeling of sadness, about how hard school is for some young people, but also with a sense of hope..

“a new line of research on academic procrastination” — Bluesky, it is too late for me but maybe others can be saved.
I will be recruiting a PhD student for my lab at Brandeis this year. We study cognitive risk for anxiety and depression in emerging adulthood + a new line of research on academic procrastination. Brandeis has a small but mighty PhD program with a focus on the interface of brain, body and behavior 1/
