Going out to protest today, and reflecting that although I'm low on hope that folks in power are listening, I'm still very hopeful that building community through action can lead to us finding more ways to directly fill gaps institutions are increasingly creating

The Terrible Political Things are happening at such a dizzying pace that it's really hard to engage with any single one because several others are also flying at us. I'd love to hear what others are doing to stay focused and action oriented rather than getting stuck in helpless overwhelm.

I have never liked the term "overthinker," because I really do think most things are actually worthy of a lot of thought and rarely find thinking to be time badly spent, and it seems to get deployed in pretty judgemental ways - I often would enjoy more thought being put into things not less!

Spectacularly breaking a big glass bowl is bad enough, breaking a big glass bowl full of the dinner you're in the middle of cooking is just adding insult to injury. Except luckily no injuries were sustained at least.

I keep asking my Google Home "how much time is left", hoping to plan around my cooking timers. If I somehow haven't set one though it keeps taking it upon itself to answer me with a long monologue about when Earth will become uninhabitable. Cooking is stressful enough, Google.
