Had a great conversation with @sjoy.lol today. We both toyed around with the web as a hobby starting in the late 90s, before eventually turning it into a career much later on.
We talked a lot about that, but then got into accessibility and I just loved how she referred to it as "a heart thing" 😊

I spoke with a few developers about their experience of AI tools being effectively mandated and learned some horrors in the process.
I do give some advice on how to navigate this for people experiencing the same as these contributors though.

Thrilled with my iFi Audio ZEN CAN Signature (2023) analog headphone amp. Coming from the original ZEN CAN (2020), the sound improvement is genuinely noticeable on my Sennheiser HD600 and especially on my HiFiMAN Edition XS.

We ran a randomized controlled trial to see how much AI coding tools speed up experienced open-source developers.
The results surprised us: Developers thought they were 20% faster with AI tools, but they were actually 19% slower when they had access to AI than when they didn't.
