Metry and her husband of 4 years go to DHS to get their I-130 in motion. "Good news" a DHS employee told them, the form to start her naturalization was approved.

DHS employee asks the husband to follow him through a secure door. When it locks behind him, ICE detains his wife to deport her.
EXCLUSIVE: Terez Metry was 13 when her family fled to Tennessee from Egypt in 2011. Then, they left her behind. She only recently discovered she had an order of removal from 2011. But she was following the legal path to citizenship. On Monday, at a routine DHS meeting, Metry was detained.

How do you want your decades of service in the House to come to an end?

Gracefully bowing out on your own terms?

Or getting bodied in a generational fight, with a primary loss after a bruising fight filled with moments like this?

I suspect there are a lot of House Democrats in their 70s or 80s who think they're going to coast back into a comfortable leadership position by keeping their head down and riding the blue wave, but they're going to have to navigate these kinds of challenges first and most are not ready at all.
“I would rather you vote for what is morally correct,” Davidson said.

“Don’t talk to me about my own morality,” DeLauro shot back.

“Don’t tell your constituents what they can and can’t talk to you about,” replied Rev. Nathan Empsall. “What you are voting for is not moral.”

Vance undermining the US Olympic Team would be too on the nose
American star Alysa Liu overcame a delay en route to the Milano Skating Arena caused by Vice President JD Vance’s motorcade and finished second in the women’s short program at the Olympics team event.

“We almost didn’t make it,” her coach said.
Nothing could stop the U.S. figure skating team. Not even JD Vance’s motorcade.
Alysa Liu and world champion dance team of Madison Chock and Evan Bates have the Americans leading the team event after day one.

Karoline Leavitt has a fragile self, defensive demeanor, and tries to put forth a defiant tone for her audience of One. It's destroying her inside. She is uncomfortable in a crazily crafted persona. She lashes out publicly. Who knows what privately. She'll regret it when she's miserable with ulcers.

REPEATING: Dems really need to begin more forcefully presenting a narrative that Trump is erratic and unstable and no longer able to carry out the duties of the presidency and therefore must be removed from office. It's time.
This needs to get into the public narrative articulately emphatically now.

Before you guys start your weekends, please know that JD Vance got soundly booed at the Olympics opening ceremony. American athletes were cheered. When the Jumbotron panned to Vance, the cheers became jeers, and worse. Enjoy the weekend.

When I saw Liam at the Dilley Detention Center, something was clearly wrong. He was lethargic, not eating, and depressed.

Thankfully, Liam and his dad are back home in Minneapolis with their family.

No child should ever endure this. We will not stop until this cruelty ends.

ICE has caused enough hell over the past 378 days since Trump has taken office.

Kristi Noem has been a complete and total failure at her job. Unqualified ICE agents have been killing U.S. citizens and terrorizing our communities.

Republicans are in here cosplaying as protectors of women and children, but they were silent when Renee Good was killed, willingly voted to cut SNAP, and are now sitting by as ICE rips children away from their families.

Miss me with the selective outrage.

Following ICE’s deadliest year in two decades, we do not need another massive ICE detention facility.

ICE has caused enough harm to our communities.

They have proven they cannot be trusted to operate detention facilities safely or transparently.

Surprised? No.
Distracted? Also no.

We know who Donald Trump is. He has proven himself time and time again. We will not be distracted — especially not from the fact that he is all up and through the Epstein files.
