Why in the all holy f-ck, did they make kindergarten academic. My poor little dude is so burnt out and overwhelmed all the time because he just has to sit and learn all day! He needs to run! He needs to play! He swing and scream and jump!

The baby has been falling asleep at about 7:30/8 every night for the last week, which sounds awesome, but it’s not a deep sleep. She will go about 30 minutes before she starts whimpering and then crying, never fully waking up, but occasionally just sobbing.

Deployments suck for a billion and a half reasons, but today it sucks because I’m the one who needs to do all the chores and there is literally no other choice! If I put it off, it will only get worse!

I completely forgot that people would mourn Dick Cheney and it took me two days to figure out why the flags were half staff.

Absolutely crazy how much easier it is to stand up from bed 10 hours after a c section today versus 9 months pregnant yesterday.

We’ve reached the point of baby prep where there’s just so much baby stuff everywhere in the house and it’s very overwhelming. I know we’ll use it all, but wow. I don’t remember feeling this overwhelmed by stuff with baby 1.

Alejandra shows us an orange she just harvested in Kern County. She tells us: we are paid by what we pick . The below box we fill weighs around 1,000 lbs. We are paid $26 per box. #WeFeedYou

The increasing length and complexity of the explanations in the school cancellation voicemails is cracking me up. The district person sounds incredibly exasperated as she explains that just because your road is clear doesn’t mean all the roads are.

Barely survived 1st trimester all day sickness only to be gifted norovirus from my students. I am single handedly keeping the saltine business afloat.

I have been actively suppressing my genetically Mormon need to stockpile dried goods since the election was called, and every time a new tariff is announced, that instinct just revs up.

Social encounters are mediated by a third party, the present is isolated from the past and future, information is split from human experience and documents are used to generate indifference. Indifference yields distrust, oppression, and annihilation.

Opinion | As a seasoned Republican senator, I know that Hegseth, Gabbard, and Patel are historically awful nominees. But if I don’t vote for them, I’ll be primaried by someone who’d stand back and let Trump destroy our government.

If yesterday was any indication, today is going to be very long. It’s also cold as hell. Put something in the crockpot right now. Take care of yourself and be excellent to each other.

The most magical time of the semester has arrived. 30 minutes to the late work deadline, and a student with a 15% wants to know what they can do to earn a D 🤦🏼‍♀️ Buddy, that ship sailed, burned, and sunk already.

Just kidding! I squeaked in at 400 just before 11 last night 🎉
I didn’t realize how close I am to having read 400 books this year, and now I’m bummed because if I had known with more time in the year, I could have done it.
