It’s daunting, to sit down each night and not know how long it will be before I can rest. Will it be before my son wakes up and needs me, or will it be another night of back to back shifts? I hope I’ll get some rest. And I hope I’ll get to snuggle my babies as much as they need.

I initially suspected teething pain, but Tylenol didn’t help. I have no idea why it’s happing, as her naps haven’t changed in quality. The only thing that works is holding her and rocking for the 2 or 3 hours it takes to settle into a deep sleep.

I do not have one of those useless male partners, so it’s incredibly difficult when he’s gone!

Not contemporary, but 5yo and I just finished all the Mary Poppins books and are now reading Ramona the Pest. We also did the audiobook for Mr. Popper’s Penguins, and that was a huge hit.
