I've said this before but it bears repetition: the consequence of allowing bigotry & other cruelty into your coalition is that everyone starts to stand up for one another a lot less. That's one reason why tolerance of bigotry &/or cruelty is the antithesis of good antifascism.

50+ years in and I'm still struggling with the obvious.
I have always considered fear the enemy, because so many people use it as an excuse to not do the right thing. People will be cowed into silence when they should speak, inaction when they should act.
But that's not really fear's fault.

I never knew this: in 1924 a tornado touched down in Sandusky, traveled across Lake Erie, leveled Lorain, and finally dissipated in Westlake / North Olmsted. Normally I know my local tornados.
