That's not even how Scots is spelt.
Accuse me of xenophobic stereotyping all you like, but the last person I'm going to listen to about the real America is a dope-addicted unmarried immigrant who can't even count how many kids he has from God knows how many women.

I rather have been watching the game on BBC than STV though. Those split-screen ads are quite something, very intrusive and unwelcome.
I don't watch the rugby as frequently as I used to but I'm glad I watched that game. Great stuff from Scotland! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏉 #AsOne #CalcuttaCup #Scotland

I like that 'sun shines in Aberdeen' is worthy of news coverage by the BBC!

Aberdeen finally sees sunshine for first time since 21 January
The last reported sunshine had been on 21 January - the longest sunless period since records began in 1957.

This feels like a 'sorry you feel that way' non-apology.

I have an idea. For next year’s Super Bowl, have the halftime show performed in Navajo, Cherokee, and Dakota/Lakota. That’ll really wind the MAGA idiots up!

You know things are tough in the US when Matt from WeRateDogs is warning against state surveillance via Ring doorbells.
we need to talk about that Ring Super Bowl ad

"...a woman at the turn of the century living deep in the Marshall Woods...' Set any time from about 1989 onwards then? People need to be clearer about which century end is being referred to when the term 'turn of the century' is used.

I thought I'd try a 0% alcohol wine, it was absolutely rank. I only managed a couple of sips. Of course it was the one time I didn't get a receipt so I can't get a refund.

Cool, an adaptation of Stephen Lawhead's The Pendragon Cycle, I wonder where I can watch it? Available on DailyWire+, a hub for right-leaning commentary and cultural analysis. Oh.

I enjoyed that. It'll be interesting to see what elements of the book stay in the film adaptation.
I'm re-reading Andy Weir's Project Hail Mary in anticipation of the film coming out next month. It's so good! I'm terrible at remembering book plots so it's like I'm reading it anew.

When I listen to Far Cry by Rush I like to add my own pyrotechnic sound effects at the appropriate moments.

Today is World Cancer Day, which aims to raise cancer awareness and encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment. I don't have cancer any more; I'm very grateful for the amazing NHS for that. Here's a photo I took at the end of my run today. Onwards! #WorldCancerDay

An annoying social media trend I've noticed, headlines that say things like 'This 10/10 show on Netflix keeps getting better'. How does does it keep getting better?! It's been made, there are no changes being made to it, it is immutable. Irksome.

Treated myself to a copy of the latest @privateeyenews.bsky.social. It feels like there's a lot of news happening right now and a little perspective, analysis, and humour wouldn't go amiss. I like how the logo has been redacted for this issue!

I get the impression that Donald Trump wants to be seen as a macho, rugged type, despite appearances to the contrary, yet he has an ego that’s more fragile than a dandelion on a windy day.

I've never read Lord of the Flies, seen any adaptation, or know anything about it, but I've just watched a short trailer for an upcoming BBC adaptation. It looked positively grim, I can't imagine why someone would want to watch such a thing for entertainment.
