DFLers are listening to Minnesotans. Will the GOP join us and do the same?

Governor Walz has been an excellent governor of Minnesota. I'm pleased to support him.

Working together, we’ve made sure kids are fed in school, parents can spend time with their babies without worry, and now he’s leading the charge to make Minnesota safer from gun violence.

Hi DFLers, I’m Zack Stephenson. My DFL colleagues elected me as the next Leader of this team, so I wanted to reintroduce myself to you.

I’m a dad, a husband, a prosecutor, and a Vikings fan. I’m honored to have the support of my colleagues, and I’ll never forget why we’re here.

Assault weapons ban NOW.

We know it shouldn’t have taken more horrific headlines in Minnesota to make this change. In the face of this tragedy, we will not walk away from our chance to make our state a safer place.

Join us today and sign our petition to ban assault weapons in Minnesota.

It’s been just over a month since our world changed forever. We'll be reeling from the events of June 14, for a long time. We don’t have everything figured out, but we do know we must keep going. We believe the Speaker would want us to carry on making life better in Minnesota.

An update from us. 💙

This year, DFLers protected your freedoms, fought to lower costs, and balanced the state budget. The 2025 legislative session is over, but our work for Minnesotans is far from done. We’ll keep fighting for you, not billionaires.

The House DFL fights for Minnesota Moms and families, because we ARE Minnesota Moms.

We’ll keep fighting for:
🔷 paid leave
🔷 guaranteed sick time
🔷 reproductive freedom
🔷 free school meals for your kids

House Republicans voted AGAINST the DFL budget that led to record-high graduation rates and smaller opportunity gaps. Now, they’re trying to divert public dollars to private schools and dismantle the popular universal meals program, all while Trump cuts federal funding for education.

We're the Democratic-Farmer-Labor party for a reason. We fight with workers today and every day. 💪

Andrew Myers and House Republicans want to dismantle the free school lunch program.

Donald Trump’s tariffs are sending prices soaring, but Myers and the Republicans are ok with Minnesota families losing out on up to $1,000 per year in grocery savings.

Make it make sense!

If Trump gets away with his cuts to Medicaid, 1 in 2 nursing home residents and 2 in 5 kids will pay more for healthcare.
It's good to see it put bluntly: Donald Trump wants to cut access to health care for more than 1.3 million Minnesotans, including 40% of kids and 55% of nursing home residents, all so he can continue giving tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy.

Are GOP legislators in our state really okay with that?

We're looking out for Minnesotans, not Donald Trump and his billionaire buddies.
March 25, 2025 at 9:44 PM
Probably, definitely, yeah, it was!

Voters were frustrated with the chaos and incompetence they’re seeing from Donald Trump. Minnesotans from all across the state volunteered, and residents of 40B showed up in force to vote for David Gottfried because he shares their values
Was a Minnesota House special election in the east metro a referendum on the Trump administration?
Democrats say voters were fired up over the Trump administration, but Republicans also saw a boost after DFLers boycotted the start of session.

After four weeks of Minnesota Republicans leading the House with a one-seat advantage and less than two months of another Trump Administration, Minnesota Democrats showed up in force to reject extreme Republican ideas that do not serve Minnesota.

Ah yes, it’s the gop’s favorite pastime of conjuring fake problems with real consequences, wasting time and money without giving Minnesotans a real break 🙄
WOW: Republicans just chose to prevent debate and avoid a vote on their own bill to delay Minnesota’s Paid Leave law.
March 10, 2025 at 10:11 PM
Today's the day MN Republicans are going to try and block paid leave from starting asap.

House Democrats aren't going to let them get away with it.
March 10, 2025 at 2:52 PM
These stories from real Minnesotans are why we can't wait even an extra day for paid leave.

My mother was the owner and president of our family's small business when I was born (a long time ago). We had a progressive family leave policy, and my family benefitted from that. All Minnesotans deserve Paid Leave so they don't have to skip a paycheck to care for their families. It's that simple.
Minnesota Republicans want to eliminate the paid leave program that would allow millions of Minnesota workers to care for their loved ones in times of need without worrying about their next paycheck.

These Republicans are NOT looking out for Minnesota families.
