Hard to think of today as Independence Day under the current regime. As if we haven’t already seen terrible human rights violations, the deaths resulting from Medicaid cuts will be devastating. But… I’m more fearful for folks trapped in the Florida concentration camp when hurricanes roll in… 😢

Had some frustrating experiences at work this week, but I’m feeling really good about being at UF in this capacity. I’ve managed to, in a fairly short amount of time, connect with and help a lot of undergrads expand their horizons (and I hope some pubs come out of it!).

With all the new #gamestudies folks that moved over it's a good time for me to post that submissions are open for the PCA/ACA conference in New Orleans in April. Why, yes, I am one of the Area Chairs. Deadline November 30.

Submission for abstracts information here: pcaaca.org/page/submiss...
Submission Guidelines - Popular Culture Association
If your area chair decides your abstract would fit better in another area, we will notify you. If we can’t find a way to help you find a home for your paper, we will refund your membership upon request.
