Our 2nd car was totaled while parked on the street 3 weeks after our daughter was born. We bought an Urban Arrow and transitioned to a 1 car household of 4. Our family has biked 7k miles on 2 ebikes since March, me personally doing about 5.5k. We saved $650 in gas and reduced emissions by 2 tons.

Anoka-Hennepin educators have voted overwhelmingly to strike for a fair contract that delivers the wages and healthcare benefits they deserve. No one wants a strike. I hope the school board comes to an agreement that puts the needs of schools and students first.

Bryant Ave has become so beautiful in every season. I'm really enjoying seeing these snow walls flanking the bike lane grow!

4 year old was asking for studded tires the 14" wheels on his bike. I told him if he was willing to pedal up any hill no matter how slight the grade, we'd talk about it. He got very quiet.

Just missed a milestone today and didn't have time to go around the block. That's 1999 miles since March made up mostly by twice daily trips to daycare and preschool that would have been otherwise made by car.

40th Street east if 35W is such a mess. East of Chicago, it somehow gets worse. Biking the 1 mile I need to go takes about twice the time that it should, and it feels incredibly unsafe. I think I'm giving up on the bike Boulevard, and instead using 38th and just dealing with cars.

St Louis Park, Hopkins, Minnetonka and Eden Praire have done a phenomenal job plowing 3 river park trails. Made the full trip with zero issues

On the topic of "no bad weather just bad clothes," I bought insulated snow pants and tried them out this morning, biking my kids to childcare. In single digit temps, I was sweating - hard. Serious swamp butt.

40th, east of 35W, is pretty messy. It's technically passable, but i was fishtailing more than I liked with my kids in the bike. I abandoned it and just went down 38th.

The bike/ped detour was 75% torn up this evening. Only the last few hundred feet on the east end still there.
Some construction on going still at West Lake Station, but look what they let me do this morning!
