Shaffer responds with conference tables distributed to boardrooms across the city.

In 2024, there were 24k registered voters in W13 and 17k ballots in 2025. Hard to believe that that voter turnout could be dramatically higher. But I also think you could argue the other way, too. Perhaps a progressive candidate in W13 could have helped drive turnout for a progressive mayor in W13.

True, but Kate Mortenson ran from Palmisano's right in 23 and got 30%. I fear that Palmisano has about 40% of W13 locked down with another 30% who'd never vote for a more progressive candidate.

Who gives Palmisano so much money when she's basically running unopposed?

Would it suprise you to hear that no one still walks on 50th? It's almost as if infrastructure choices have decades long impacts on communities.

This place is so big.

Do you know why there are so many people buried here? Everyone's dying to get in.

They won't stop even if the light at Lyndale or Bryant is red. Can't be impeded on their way to sit and wait.

I honestly have no clue what "soy faced" means.

Love that you took a stand and endorsed in Ward 13. If only everyone was as brave!

I made the parallel between Frey and Humdinger to my 4 year old a few weeks ago. Very effective. Devastating for the Frey campaign in this demographic.

Any idea how the B line ridership compares to the 21?

I feel like this city could do a lot more with the lakes especially in the winter. We could learn from how Ottowa uses the Rideau Canal - a five mile long canal that freezes in the winter. Every mile or so they have little shops - coffee, poutine, other Canadian delicacies - and heated bathrooms.

When it first started, our buy nothing group was phenomenal. I got a Baratza coffee grinder from a woman who was cleaning out her house. But it got too big and split in two, and it's never been the same.
